Va Creeper Trail - Abingdon to Damascus
THE ABINGDON VALLEY RIDE - OPEN NOW

The eastern section is temporarily closed for Hurricane Helene
repairs (est. reopening September 2026), but the western valley
ride is open, stunning, and ready for you. Shuttle up to Abingdon
and ride 16 scenic miles back through the South Fork Holston River
valley to Damascus. Same great scenery, wildlife, and trestles —
just a different starting point. You get beautiful views of the Holston Mountain range. Great chance to see bald eagles, otters, deer, and other wildlife.
An ANSI/CPSC certified helmet is provided

17 miles of downhill through 31 trestles, Christmas tree
farms, and the stunning Whitetop Laurel Creek. Hurricane
Helene damaged this section in 2024 — the Forest Service
is rebuilding and we'll be shuttling again by fall 2026.

Return Trip to Abingdon - $24.99

Ride your bike from the trailhead in Abingdon over to us (we are conveniently on the trail), and we will shuttle you back.
Please call ahead to check our schedule and to reserve your shuttle (888-595-2453).

Shuttles from Damascus to Abingdon depart every 45 min (from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm) daily.

Shuttles are available at other times with a reservation.
 Please arrive 30 minutes before your reservation departure time.
We have a $55 minimum on all unscheduled shuttle trips.
Hey, we gotta make a living (and we need to have a driver for you)!

All shuttles depart from our location at 331 Douglas Drive (beside SUBWAY). 

Rental Waiver & Agreement

All riders 18 years of age and older must fill out a rental waiver and agreement. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign for them.

We have many "kid-size" bikes (20" and 24") with coaster brakes or hand brakes, gears, or no gears.
